Jonathan Snow Carpenter is our new Associate Pastor of Worship. He has been married to his wife, Kimberly, for thirteen years and they have three children. Micah Ryne is 10 years old and in 1st grade, Heidi Corene is 7 years old and loves everything pink, and Eisley Snow is 5 years old and full of energy. Jonathan and Kimberly met in college at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where he received a bachelors degree in Music. They then traveled to Waco, Texas, where Jonathan received a Masters degree in Music Composition from Baylor University. After finishing his Masters degree, he took a teaching position at Baylor where he taught for a year and a half. Seeing a need for a doctorate, he and Kimberly moved to Boulder, Colorado, and Jonathan enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Colorado for music composition. It was during this time that he felt like God was calling him into ministry and away from the academic world. Jonathan has been in full-time ministry now for 8 years and has served in churches in Arkansas and Texas. He continues to use his gift in composition and songwriting to enrich the worship services he leads and enjoys incorporating many different instruments and ideas into the artistic culture of the local church. Jonathan and his family are thrilled to be a part of the body of A Church for the Cities and are looking forward to seeing God’s people respond to Him in spirit and in truth!
