Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28:19-20, to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” The need has ever been more and it’s never been easier to go to the nations bringing His Word to make disciples of all people. You have the opportunity to take the light of Jesus to places that are in need of transformation that can only come from God. We have partnered with ministries and churches from all around the world with the goal to seeing lives changed by the love of Jesus. We have been blessed so that we can be a blessing to the nations. Please pray about being part of what God is doing in a specific place around the world.

Our team will work with Nehemiah Vision Ministries (NVM) is our partner in Haiti. Jim and Cheryl Warner have a long-running relationship with this ministry and lived there for 3 years. In July, NVM conducts an English camp for 200 Haitian children. The purpose of the camp is to teach English, expose them to the Gospel of Jesus, provide a good meal and generally have a fun time. Our team will be helping run this camp. No previous experience teaching English is required. No matter who you are, you can help. This is a fun time with the kids of Haiti. Most live in poverty and love coming for the interaction with Americans. There are games to teach, songs to sing and general fun times! There will also be time to help Cheryl with her ministry to Haitian women. She helps them learn how to make baskets and jewelry to help support their families. Jim will be involved teaching pastors during the week, so if you have teaching experience, you can talk to Jim about helping in this ministry.
This team will work with Compel Ministries to conduct a basic medical clinic on the campus of an orphanage in Webuye, Kenya. Compel Outreach International is a global indigenous mission outreach led by Bill and Wendy Britt, who are members here at FBC Wylie and have their ministry office here in Wylie.
Previous mission trip experience required. This team will spend the week participating in a cultural exchange program with college students and young adults. Opportunities in relational evangelism will be opened as participants share in activities and workshops that incorporate food, holidays, and other traditions of both American and Asian cultures.
