“Spreading God’s fame by making disciples of all people” is used as the catalyst for the Worship Ministry. The first part of this simple theme creates a focus on the glory of Jesus Christ in each of our worship and technical arts teams. God desires our love and attention through musical worship; therefore, it is the responsibility of the worship teams to lead through example. The second directive of our mission, making disciples of all people, centers around community. Musical Worship strives to care for and disciple all people by meeting spiritual and physical needs. We can't wait for you to join us in worshiping our Savior Jesus Christ.
These are groups of vocalists and instrumentalists that lead worship in both our Traditional and Modern worship services. Membership on one of these teams requires an audition process. Please contact Jennifer Crossley for more information.
This choir is open to any adult that has an interest in leading worship through choral singing. The Choir leads in worship in our Traditional Service at 8:15 a.m.. Also, the Sanctuary Choir will present major dramatic works and/or choral concerts at various times during the year. The Sanctuary Choir rehearses in the Choir Room on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m
The orchestra practices on Sunday mornings in the Worship Center. They perform every Sunday in our Traditional Service as well as during special events and concerts. To be a member of this group, you must play at least on a high school level, and be prepared to do a short audition. Sight-reading is a must! We are currently looking for more instrumentalists. Please contact our Worship Pastor, Allen Stroud, if interested.
Silver Chords Choir
This choir rehearses on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 9:30 a.m. Open to any “senior” who enjoys singing and fellowship! Besides the occasional special music in our worship services, the Silver Chords go on a Choir Mission Trip each Spring to south Texas to minister to "Winter Texans." You do not have to be able to read music to be in this group. The Silver Chords rehearse in the Choir Room.
Technical Arts Team
This is a team that seeks to serve the congregation by being "behind the scenes". If you have skills on computer, video or audio production, or running a camera, we'd love to have you serve with us. Please contact Kirk McDowell for more information.
