This trip is for high school students and their parents. We will be partnering with Aurora Methodist Church. Our plans are to assist them with ongoing mission opportunities, street evangelism, and homeless ministry. This trip is a good introductory mission trip to help students meet the needs of others while sharing the gospel.
June 1 - 15
1 Week - $1800;
2 Weeks - $2100
This team of teachers will provide instructional support during the school day to the English classes at Henry Davis Foundation School. After the instructional day, we will offer support to teachers through professional development and to students with lessons in English reading and writing skills. Dates for this trip: June 1 – 8 and June 8 – 15. You can go for one week or for both weeks.
June 4 - 7
This mission opportunity is for students in 7-12 grade, along with any adults. During this week, we will focus on local missions right in our own city and surrounding areas. Opportunities range from backyard Bible clubs, evangelism, light construction, and social ministry. This mission experience is great for all ages and allows for a variety of opportunities throughout the week.
June 14 - 22
England Team One will have prayer walks, talk and pray with people throughout London, help with Bible clubs, and come alongside to minister with local churches.
England Team Two conduct football practices and strength and conditioning sessions for 15-18 year olds. They will build relationships with coaches and players through a football coaches’ clinic and relational evangelism projects.
June 16 - 23
This team will work alongside a church plant in downtown Baltimore to see lives touched in Jesus’ name by sharing the gospel and ministering at the Transformation Center.
June 17 - 23
Family Friendly. This team will work with Grace Works Alaska, leading backyard Bible clubs and servant evangelism projects.
New York Youth
July 6 - 13
This trip is for students in 7-12 grade, along with any parents or adults. While in NYC we will be partnering with our strategic ministry partners, assisting them in VBS, feeding centers, street evangelism, prayer stations, prayer walks, and some possible light construction. This trip is great for those who are mature enough in their faith to get slightly uncomfortable engaging others with the gospel. It includes long days, but is a great first-time trip for almost anyone.
July 7 - 13
This team will return to Santiago to work with missionary Earl Hammons, who is supported by our church. We will be ministering in church, VBS, and in the orphanages.
July 8 - 13
Family Friendly. This trip is designed for families of all ages to enjoy serving the Lord while on mission together. This year our team will partner with FBC Vidor to reach the community that was devastated by Hurricane Harvey. We will be ministering to families through VBS, block parties, and more.
July 13 - 21
This team will continue its efforts to support Makgale, a J-Life product, and his planting of church in Duduza Township outside of Johannesburg. We will work with him to determine how we can help disciple believers and equip them to grow and lead different departments within the church. We will also help setup new classrooms/containers on site.
July 13 - 21
This team will serve with New York Gospel Mission by serving at the soup kitchen, ministering to people in need, and doing construction projects at the church. The team will also set up the prayer station ministry in key locations around the city as well as working with other key mission organizations throughout New York.
July 20 - 28
This team will work with the Angel Church in the borough of Islington, London, aiming to reach people and families of all ages. The team will prayer walk, host evangelistic events, and serve with the church in London.
July 20 - 28
Family Friendly. Our goal is to build relationships in this impoverished area by serving in the community of Eagle Springs and providing food and clothing to those in need. We aim to assist the faithful leadership at Eagle Spring Church to become independent and able to flourish on their own.
July 21 - 28
This team will spend time with the children in the Houses of Happiness Foundation, an orphanage outside of Quito, Ecuador. They will also work with church plants ministering to local children through VBS and soccer camps.
Costa Rica Youth
July 28 - August 4
This trip is for 11-12 grade students, college students and any adults. We will be partnering with 6:8 Ministries assisting them in evangelism, feeding stations, children’s ministry and construction. This trip is for those who are mature in their faith, does not mind hard work and works well in uncomfortable situations. Past mission trip experience is highly recommended.
July 31 - August 5
This team will work at the Dream Center to minister on Skid Row, feed the homeless, and be the hands and feet of Jesus on the streets of Los Angeles.
July 30 - August 10
This team will work with Compel Ministries to conduct a basic medical clinic on the campus of an orphanage in Webuye, Kenya. Compel Outreach International is a global indigenous mission outreach led by Bill and Wendy Britt, who are members here at FBC Wylie and have their ministry office here in Wylie.
September 7 - 12
This team will partner with Clinic for the Cities to work in remote villages of Guatemala. There you will be able to choose a team ranging from medical clinics, construction projects and vacation bible school. Not only will you be a blessing to others, you will be blessed as you are submerged in the traditional Mayan culture.
Sep. 26 - Oct. 8
FBW will be joining together with teams from other churches who are a part of the cba Church Network (Collin Baptist Association) in an effort to take 60 people to Hungary in partnership with the Hungarian Baptist Union and Hungary Missions, a ministry who already works with Baptist churches and other Baptist ministries there. We will be reaching out to families, schools, elderly care centers, jails, hospitals and other institutions with church members at our side, engaging in conversational and relational evangelism. This is an incredible opportunity to work in partnership with a Hungarian church and her people. Teams will arrive and depart through Budapest and then partner with 10-15 churches across Hungary.
Hurricane Harvey Relief
We are partnering with Cy-Hope and FBC Vidor in relief efforts. Everyone is welcome to be a part of a team, however, skilled labor (dry wall, plumbers, electricians, etc.) are greatly needed. With the hurricane rebuild efforts expected to take up 4-6 years, FBW is committed to sending teams throughout the years to come.
